Bittersweet is a family business started by two sisters. With a passion for baking and wanting to start our own business, Bittersweet was born in 2010. We started Bittersweet to fill the void of unique custom cake creations in the Boston area. Since then our customer base has grown to include people with food allergies.
We cater to people with various food intolerances and allergies (gluten, soy, dairy, egg, sugar, peanuts and tree-nuts) so everyone can enjoy baked goods and not be left without a birthday cake. We are currently one of very few bakeries catering to most food allergies. Our strong science background is what helps set us apart from all other businesses- both in terms of allergen awareness and material science, which makes our products taste just as good.
We are one of the few bakeries in Massachusetts to offer an extensive line of delicious gluten-free products that have the same flavor and texture as their counterparts. We are focused on providing top of the line, gourmet quality baked goods that won't break the bank. We also specialize in making custom cakes that don't just look great, but also taste great.
We create all of our own recipes out of our Woburn kitchen, and choose to make our products using the highest quality ingredients without the use of artificial flavors or preservatives because we believe in the principles of purity and freshness in our food. Our products are always all-natural and baked from scratch.
